Studies and Assessments
The activity Studies and Assessments aims at the inventory of the current situation regarding GNSS use in the agricultural community, the characterisation of current applications in order to determine the “priority applications”, and the determination of requirements for these priority applications.
In the Critical Analysis phase an assessment was performed of the current use of GNSS in the agricultural community. An inventory was made of relevant GNSS applications in agriculture. Using a set of evaluation criteria, this list of potential GNSS applications was assessed and priority applications were identified. These priority applications comply best with the requirements of the agricultural community and were used to support the promotion and training campaign of the project. The results of the Critical Analysis have been published in the Critical Analysis Report.
Requirements were identified for the implementation of the selected priority applications into demonstrator applications to support promotion and training. Besides, requirements regarding the use of spatial data in GNSS applications and especially in the demonstrations were collected and documented. Finally, a set of reccommendations for promotion and training activities were describes. The requirements have been documented in the Requirements Report
